EFUQ Fest SAC exists for the outsider artist who may have never even considered submitting to a film festival, or the person who gets rejected from every damn festival they submit to.

We celebrate the strange, the experimental, the queer, the radical, the challenging, transcendental, DIY and weird. We provide a platform for artists marginalized, shunned, or silenced by communities intent on attracting money rather than nurturing a diverse and thriving DIY local arts scene.

This is a punk AF, queer AF local affair. The popular kids in town who have all the money will surely stay away. The local press will surely ignore it. The "tastemakers" definitely won't be spreading the word. We do not have, nor seek, any sort of corporate sponsorship. AND WE ARE PERFECTLY OK WITH IT! Ef all that!

There are enough people out there presenting competent, safe, and nice looking motion pictures to a status quo embracing public. We are not those people.

If you are looking to further your career or credibility, respect and accolades from the establishment, then you can ef off. If you are looking to connect with likeminded artists to create a safe, supportive, nurturing, inclusive community for the weirdos of art, then please submit your work ASAP.

EFUQ Fest SAC recognizes the intersections of oppression. We are holding space for marginalized voices and will center queer, trans, POC, and women here. White cis dudes to the back, haha! Black lives, trans lives, black trans lives all matter here at EFUQ Fest SAC. Fuck Trump, fuck the wall, fuck dumb art and fuck off if you support this type of tyrannical bullshit! Keep it real queer and DIY forever!!!

SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN UNTIL MARCH 1, 2019. All genres and forms accepted, especially ones that have yet to be invented. Although preference will be given to local artists, works from all over the world will be accepted. Works of all lengths will be considered, but preference will be given to those over 20 minutes long. WORK MUST BE FINISHED! There is no submission fee. Artists can submit multiple works. It doesn't matter when your work was produced. If you are one of those assholes whose movies get into almost every festival you submit to, we don't want you and you won't want us. We prefer providing a safe haven for the marginalized and disenfranchised. We don't want no physical media or any dropbox bullshit, so...
